Object of the month: Endurance22 Tribute.
January’s Object of the Month was left on South Georgia by a very special team of people.
On 5th March 2022, the Endurance22 expedition team located the wreck of Ernest Shackleton’s ship Endurance in the Weddell Sea. The ship had been crushed by sea ice and lost in October 1915. In celebration of finding Endurance, the team left artwork, a letter, a certificate, and photographs of the ship underwater at Shackleton’s grave in Grytviken.
