VIOLIN MADE ON SOUTH GEORGIA SET TO RETURN TO THE ISLAND
A violin that was made in South Georgia has recently been donated to the South Georgia Museum. An inscription inside the instrument reads ‘South Georgia 1924, Henry Panne’. The violin will be an excellent addition to the Museum collection and will go on display later this season.
Thank you to Mr Malmberg from Sandefjord, Norway for his very kind donation and to Stig Tore Lunde (SGHT Norway) for all his help in organising the donation, related conservation and transportation.
